Oiva Toikka is celebrated as one of the masters of Finnish design, with his iconic “Birds by Toikka” collection.
His first creation was the small glass Flycatchers made at the Nuutajärvi glass factory, created in close collaboration with the glassblowers. Each bird is an unique piece, handcrafted and mouthblown.

Today, the Iittala Glass Factory honors Toikka's legacy with the re-launch of the Flycatcher – an original piece of art from the 1970s - the colourful bird features a simple, transparent body in moss green with a copper beak
