When I think of a "prego no prato", it is impossible to dissociate the idea of two objects in one, an idea that overlaps the name given to a typical Portuguese cuisine steak dish.
I aimed to create an appealing piece in its organic form and visual ap- proach, that could simultaneously be used in a meal or be part of my cult objects.
The challenge behind this project was to enjoy a delicious "prego no prato" on a dish that already has a nail, something that turns out to be both redundant and (really) fun.
"Prego no prato" is typical Portuguese cuisine menu dish that consists of a beef steak on a slice of ham and a fried egg on top, with chips, rice and salad.
The snack got its popular name at the beginning of the 20th century, with the name "prego" in memory of the creator of the dish, Manuel Dias Prego.

It is microwave and dish-washer safe, though, to guarantee its durability we recommend hand wash.
